Our History

Independence Place was built in 2002 by John TerWisscha of TerWisscha Construction Company. It was his inspiration to provide an affordable place for retirees. His vision gave rise to Independence Place Senior Cooperative Housing, a model of retirement living. We are managed by Realife Management, a company with great experience in cooperative living units.
